Biderap

Dry season

The hottest, driest time. Hot winds blow from the north. Kangaroo apple fruits ripen to yellow. This is the season for burning country—careful, deliberate fire that clears undergrowth and renews the land.

When

Approximately January to February

Seasons are marked by ecological events, not fixed dates. These times are approximate for the Merri Creek catchment.
